Centurion, South Africa, December 7, 2009. Q-KON, the Africa distributor of Wavion's new category of Wi-Fi Base Stations and Stella Vista Technologies, announced a successful deployment of a wireless connectivity solution for remote access and update of leader scoreboards for a major international golf event.

During December 2009, Q-Kon successfully completed a Microwave backhaul project for Kamoto Copper Company (KCC) in Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Q-KON recently secured space segment services from Space-Communication Ltd (Spacecom) on AMOS-5i satellite, which will be replaced by AMOS-5 in 2011. The space segment services will be deployed by Q-KON for its specialist corporate network solutions and will provide Africa, South - Africa and also Africa - Africa
connectivity.

As part of the Sendinel Project, the Agincourt Clinic in the Mpumalanga Province has now been connected to the internet. The aim of the project is to improve communication between clinics and their patients in rural South-Africa through implementation of the Sendinel system. Seven bachelor students at the Potsdam, Germany is working together on the project as part of their bachelor thesis. This journey was made possible from the chair of “Internet Technologies and systems” led by Prof. Meinel, SES Astra and others.

SkyeVine (Pty) Ltd has recently signed a service agreement with SES S.A. (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG), for the delivery of its satellite broadband service in Africa.

Q-KON, has played a vital role as strategic technology services provider in the successful rollout of Business Connexion's VSAT solution network and teleport-based service.

The container based iCafés and iLab, communications service provides Internet access in the rural areas.

Q-KON's que-X VSAT service offering is the latest addition to our satellite access platforms and extends the reach of cloud computing service.

Q-KON SA received the only Gold Award at the 2011 Network Equipment Technologies Inc. (NET) Partner Summit Awards in Fremont, near San Francisco on 15 April 2011.

On 2 June 2011, the Great Six Partners, (SkyVine, Ellies, Business Connexion, Intelsat, Newtec and Q-KON), came together to celebrate the dedicated commitment of all to support the success of the SkyVine broadband service.

Q-KON recently successfully completed the installation of the new 6.5m Ku-band antenna and HUB, designed and implemented for SkyeVine. The project is an addition to the existing teleport infrastructure situated at Business Connexion's premises in Midrand, South Africa.
